My Story

My name is Hardeep Singh, originally from India. In 2005, I moved to the United States after completing my MBA in Finance from London. My professional journey began in the mortgage industry, but the 2008 market crash had a significant impact on real estate, prompting me to pivot in my career. With a strong background in finance, I transitioned into asset management, where I gained valuable experience managing financial portfolios and investments. Over the years, I expanded my expertise by working in private equity, logistics, and manufacturing. This diverse experience has given me a well-rounded understanding of different industries and how financial strategies play a crucial role in their success.

My Journey

In 2017, I took my first step into the world of real estate with a purchase that would forever change my perspective. I acquired an old industrial building—a former junkyard that, at first glance, seemed destined for the scrap heap. I didn't realize that its plain, rough exterior was hiding a promising opportunity.

The early days were anything but easy. Almost immediately, I encountered a series of daunting challenges. My initial contractor vanished with a substantial sum, leaving me to handle complicated permit issues. To make matters worse, the building was completely without electricity for three long months. During that time, my new contractor had to rely solely on a generator just to keep the renovation work going.

Despite the setbacks, I pressed on with unwavering determination. Slowly but surely, the building began to transform. Once the dust settled, it emerged as a busy hub where a diesel mechanic shop operated successfully for five years. The journey didn't end there—eventually, I leased the property on a triple-net basis, ensuring a steady stream of income. Then, the crowning moment arrived: when the building got sold for three times its original purchase price, a testament to the power of persistence and vision.

This rollercoaster of a journey taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, creative problem-solving, and the importance of spotting potential where others might see only decay. It wasn’t just about renovating a building—it was about transforming obstacles into stepping stones, a lesson that continues to fuel my passion for real estate and drive me to explore new horizons in this ever-evolving industry.
